Funeral Home Worker Accused Of Attempting To Smuggle A Sex Doll From Dead Man’s Home

A funeral home worker in Nebraska has been accused of attempting to smuggle a sex doll from a dead man's home! He was going to try to sneak it out in a body bag before being caught!

It's incredibly creepy and weird. However, the guy is a funeral director so he's made some interesting choices along the way. Here's more on the trending story and how he was busted!

According to The Smoking Gun, Ryan Smith, 42, was arrested back in October for allegedly breaking into an Omaha apartment of a man who had recently died in the residence. The Smoking Gun reports that Smith was planning to use a body bad to smuggle a life-size sex doll out of the home. It's bad enough to steal from a dead guy but to take someone's (assumably) used sex doll? Man, what is wrong with you? There are certain things you should never buy used. I'd say underwear and sex toys are at the top of that list.

Court filings show Smith and a co-worker were dispatched to the Rock Creek Apartments to collect the dead body along with law enforcement. However, inside the unit they noticed a very real life size version of an adult female on the bed, per The Smoking Gun. Reports say both men made comments about the doll. After getting the body the law enforcement officers with them locked and secured the home, per The Smoking Gun.

The Smoking Gun reports that Smith allegedly returned to the residence later that day carrying a body bag and telling apartment staff that he was acting on behalf of the Sheriff's Office and had to collect the sex doll in the home for "evidentiary purposes." He also claimed he needed to collect a stretcher there, as well.

After he was allowed in a second time, The Smoking Gun reports that the unit's front door was discovered deadbolted and latched with a chain across the door. Complex staff confronted smith whose "shirt was untucked and his pants were in disarray" according to The Smoking Gun. Was he doing stuff to the sex doll inside the dead man's apartment? That's kind of what it sounds like they're saying here!

Things continue to get worse. The Smoking Gun reports that on his way out he asked a janitor when the manager of the complex left! Yeah, that's not giving away anything you're planning! It's pretty clear what he was up to and it sounds like apartment staff weren't buying it either.

According to The Smoking Gun, A District Court judge found that Smith, "unlawfully entered the apartment with a body bag, which is indicative based on circumstantial evidence, that he had the intent to take the sex doll, an item of nominal value. Therefore, the Court finds that Defendant committed a substantial step and a course of conduct intended to culminate in the commission of burglary."
