Man Named Optimus Prime Arrested In Texas
That’s an awesome name! Can you imagine having that on your ID and it’s legit? I remember back in High School a buddy of mine got a fake ID and he decided it would be funny to make his name Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey’s character from Dumb and Dumber). Sure, it was funny but the first time he tried to use that ID he ended up getting it taken away. I also went to school with people named Justin Case and Crystal Clear. So, this isn’t the only unique name out there but it could be one of the coolest!
According to The New York Post, 37-year-old Optimus Prime Blakely has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after he was spotted driving a vehicle that was reported stolen. Now, his unique name is getting him a bit of extra attention.
If you weren’t aware or have forgotten, Optimus Prime is the name of the leader of the Autobots in the Transformer movies. In the movies, Optimus Prime would take cover as a red and blue semi-truck. That doesn’t seem to be the same type of vehicle prime was driving when he was arrested, unfortunately. That would have been really crazy!
The New York Post reports that Blakely was taken to police headquarters for processing and then was taken to the Travis County Jail where he was held on $8,000 bond. Curious for more? You can check out Optimus Prime’s mugshot below. He looks a little bit different than in the movies.
