A Colorado company decided to prank their new hire by doing the Pledge of Allegiance. What kind of company pranks employees?

Part of me loves the sense of humor while another part of me doesn’t think I’d like pranks being pulled at work. It’s already stressful enough as it is without worrying about my chair turning into an exploding bag, or something. Maybe keep that between friends? However, this is pretty funny. I can’t imagine what she must have been thinking!

This new employee had to have been so weirded out when they all started doing it. You can see it on her face that she almost doesn’t believe it’s real before she follows suits and puts her hand on her heart and performs the Pledge of Allegiance along with her co-workers. I’d be thinking, “what did I just get myself into? Am I going to have to do this everyday?” Thankfully, they broke the news to her pretty quickly that no they do not do this every day. The expression on her face is hilarious though. Check out the viral video shared by @thedentalbarco below.

That’s hilarious. I wonder how long they could have kept doing it for before breaking the news that it wasn’t real and it was a prank? You’d have to just keep doing it because you’d assume it’s what the company does. It could have gone on forever! Also, those tacos look fantastic and are incredibly distracting while watching the video. They look amazing and I want one (four).

Have you ever been pranked at work? It seems like there could be a fine line between an innocent prank and hazing. Not saying that it is but what if she was like “I’m not comfortable with the Pledge of Allegiance?” Some people aren’t. She could have had a bad reaction or refused to do it and looked horrible…and all over a prank. Thankfully, it didn’t go bad and she seemed like a good sport about it. I just don’t know if I’ve ever done any pranks or ever been pranked in the office. Especially on camera! That’s the other thing with all of it. They were secretly recording with it focused on her. I’m just saying it could have gone much much worse. They seem to have fun at this dental office. I don’t think I’ve ever worked anywhere like this place. I bet you the boss is like Michael Scott from The Office or something. There has to be more to this story. I could see this as a possible plot on a sitcom, especially The Office. Michael would have done something like this to a new hire for sure, only they would have broke down and cried.

April Fool’s Day is almost here and we’re celebrating with the best celebrity pranks! Sure, we don’t care for April Fool’s Day very much around here at Dave & Chuck “The Freak.” It’s not our sense of humor–but there have been some pranks executed that we can appreciate.

There are no shortage of prank programming on TV and the internet. The art of the prank is as old as time; however, it does seem to be evolving.

Growing up, we had Ashton Kutcher’s Punk’d on MTV. For many of us that was our introduction to pranks. Some of the biggest celebrities were pranked in hilarious fashion on that show. You had Justin Timberlake (we’ll get to that later), Shaq, Kanye West, and more all getting pranked on camera. It was a fantastic show. The remake didn’t quite live up to the original.

Now, The Impractical Jokers are incredibly popular. They do different kinds of pranks than we saw on shows like Punk’d. Instead of messing with celebrities, they mess with strangers and it’s one of the funniest shows currently airing on TV. Personally, I’m a huge fan.

Pranks are a big part of Late Night TV, as well. We’ve seen all of the hosts execute pranks. Jimmy Kimmel definitely does a lot and James Corden had some of the best I’ve seen, as well.

Of course, pranks aren’t always funny. You have to know your audience and there should be an agreed upon set of rules. Making a friend cry might sound funny at the time, but it can be traumatic. That’s why many people dread April Fool’s Day. Sometimes, you might want to leave stuff like that to the professionals. Not everyone is cut out to be Ashton Kutcher, as much as I would love that face on mine. I mean, I’d love to have his face.

  • David Beckham

    I admit, I was never the biggest James Corden fan. However, this is one of the best things he ever did. It’s truly hilarious. It’s such a well-executed prank. David Beckham is receiving a gift, so he can’t be mean about it…but at the same time he has to say something! He’s put in such an awkward moment and hilarity ensues.

    Speaking of James Corden, he may be known for the pranks he pulled but sometimes the pranker becomes the prankee! Katie Couric got him good on this one. I love the way he panics. Good on Katie. He had this coming.

  • Jennifer Aniston

    How could you not love Jennifer Aniston? She’s friendly, adorable, and an icon. She’s also hilarious and a good sport. She’s put in an awkward situation with this interview and comes out on top. I love her.

  • John Krasinski

    John Krasinski and Jimmy Kimmel had some funny Prank Wars. The pair dished out prank after prank. However, this one stands above the rest. All of them are great, but I always found this one funny. Check out the whole collection!

    Countless celebrities were pranked on Punk’d. However, one stands above all the rest. Unfortunately, that’s Justin Timberlake. He was pranked so badly he was brought to tears…on national television. I’m honestly surprised he signed the release waiver! It goes to show he’s a good sport. He comes off more likable in the end and more relatable. That’s tough for one of the biggest celebrities in the world! Especially at that time! It’s one of the best celebrity pranks ever.
