What Did An Old Man Use To Hit A Cop?
What did an old man use to hit a cop? Well, it’s not what you’d expect, that’s for sure. On Dave & Chuck The Freak, we’ve talked about people getting hit with all sorts of strange things including soggy bread, water, a bowling ball, and now we have this.
There has been a rise in spaghetti-throwing road rage incidents lately, which we have talked about on the show. However, has it spread to cheeseburgers?
Old Man Uses Food To Hit A Cop
According to The Smoking Gun, Joseph Delancy, 73, was arrested on a felony battery charge after forcibly throwing a cheeseburger at an officer. Yes, he used a cheeseburger to hit a cop. It all happened at a Wawa convenience store in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Delancy was reportedly trespassing when police found him and placed him in handcuffs while he was holding half of a cheeseburger. Police demanded he drop the burger but he refused. Once he was placed in the handcuffs he was somehow able to throw the burger at an officer’s right leg, per The Smoking Gun.
The cop wasn’t harmed in the attack but he did have some burger residue on his uniform. Delancy has since been charged with trespassing (a misdemeanor) and battery (a felony). This wasn’t his first run-in with the law, however. His rap sheet includes convictions for attempted murder, fraud, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, per The Smoking Gun. He has a history of attacking cops as in 2022 he was arrested for allegedly attempting to strike a cop with a metal pole, according to The Smoking Gun.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident. However, it would be pretty inconvenient to be hit by a burger. All of that sauce and grease getting onto your uniform, and then you have to go around smelling like that all day. Hey, better a burger than a bowling ball, though.
Check out his mugshot below, never hit a cop. Whether it’s with a hand or a cheeseburger, don’t do it.
