Florida Man Who Identifies As ‘Mr. Monopoly’ Taken Directly To Jail
A Florida Man who identified himself to police as ‘Mr. Monopoly’ was taken directly to jail. However, that’s not even the craziest part!
It turns out that the moniker ‘Mr. Monopoly’ isn’t even the craziest part of the story! He also told officers he was born on 4/20/69. Clearly, this guy understands internet humor. What did he do that led to him ending up behind bars? Here’s more on the story.
‘Mr. Monopoly’ Taken Directly To Jail
According to The Smoking Gun, Ryan Howard, 33, was arrested for spray painting a wall in St. Petersburg, Florida. When officers approached him, they noticed he had a bag over his shoulder containing spray paint cans. They were able to do the math it seems like and found their suspect.
However, Howard refused to identify himself staying quiet as officers asked. That was until he identified himself as “Mr. Monopoly,” according to The Smoking Gun. He then provided his birthday as 4/20/1969, a clear play at the 420 and 69 jokes that are popular on the internet. Before long, he had been actually identified via his Maine driver’s license. He has since been charged with resisting. According to The Smoking Gun, Howard’s real birthday is on April 3rd, 1991. At least he had the month right?

It looks like he has a mustache and that’s the first step. Unfortunately, outside of that the two don’t seem to have very much in common. That’s not to say it won’t end up that way! He still has a chance to turn his life around. Perhaps he’ll age with grace and become the Monopoly Man he’s always dreamed of being. Check out his mugshot below.
